1. Will Quiet Fence™ work for me? How Many Will I Need?

First, if you are unsure of what solution you need, please check out our new Buyer’s Guide–which asks key four questions and guides you to the right choice!

Just as when your hands are placed over your ears to block noise, Quiet Fence™ MUST be properly placed to get the best results. While it is easy to understand that placing Quiet Fence™ in front of your A/C unit will block a lot of the noise, the secondary reflections, such as concrete block walls (usually seen in Arizona) will echo the noise, and should also be considered very important. We recommend trying different positioning placements and just finding what works best for your noise problem. We are more than happy to review any pictures you can send of your particular problem to help you achieve the best results.

What about the noise of my air conditioner I hear thru my windows can it help with that? The simple answer is there is not much that will help with the transmission of sound traveling thru windows.

QUIET FENCE™ works well with most applications, but the large permanent generators are so incredibly loud, that the amount of sound QUIET FENCE™ dampens will not be enough to make these style units very quiet. Please feel free to contact us for suggestions on how best to reduce the sound levels of these units. We always welcome pictures of your application.

2. How do I make sure my Quiet Fence™ is working properly?

The key to Quiet Fence™ Noise Screen performance is installation. Please be sure to follow the directions closely. Copies of instruction sheets are located in the Gallery section here on the site. You also may call us with questions.

Once you have placed your Quiet Fence™ Noise Screen you may want to move the panel a bit to tweak the installation for maximum performance. Most customers enclose the unit or units on three sides leaving the back open.

We recommend you use our Buyers Guide before making your purchase to see what is best for your specific application. The guide asks a few questions and offers the recommended quantity based on your answers.

3. What are the dimensions of the Quiet Fence™ and placement?

Inches = 43 H  X 48 W  X 2-3/4 D

Centimeters = 109 h X 122 X 6.985 d

Recommend placement of approximately 12” away from A/C for proper airflow. The back is open and that allows for airflow.

4. How much does the Quiet Fence™ weigh? Color Available? What is it made of?

Weight: Quiet Fence™ Noise Screen is Eighteen (18) pounds

Color: Light Neutral

We currently have one color available and it matches most housing colors. It is considered a light beige.  Quiet Fence™ is paintable using paint for plastic such as Valspar,  Krylon, or Rustoleum. Wipe the product first, and then simply paint.

Quiet Fence™ is made of HDPE (High-density polyethylene) or, in the everyday language…heavy-duty plastic, much like your curbside garbage cans. Durable and will withstand sun and cold.

5. If I want to secure Quiet Fence™ to uneven surface, how do I attach Quiet Fence™ with fence stakes?

Lightweight fence stakes are available on our website and include screws or can be purchased at most do-it-yourself home improvement stores for a few dollars each. Using two stakes for each QUIET FENCE™ unit, one per panel (just like a book left & right). Place the unit on the ground at place where you want to have the QUIET FENCE™ end up at. Press the stakes into the ground along an edge of the Hushhh BloX® if the fence stake has a blade welded on it that is for more stability and is toward the bottom. Remove the QUIET FENCE™ and hammer the stake in approximately at around 12” into the ground. Put the QUIET FENCE™ unit back against the fence stakes and secure with #8, 1½” long decking screws. Use a 3’ Fence stake to mount the QUIET FENCE™ into the ground. To elevate QUIET FENCE™ above the ground, use the above procedure, but with longer fence stakes.

6. I have a large permanent style generator and it makes a lot of noise when it runs. Do you recommend Quiet Fence™ for this?

No. QUIET FENCE™ works well with most applications, these larger generators are so incredibly loud, the amount of sound QUIET FENCE™ dampens will not be enough to make these style units very quiet. Please feel free to contact us for suggestions on how best to reduce the sound levels of these units.

7. Do you give out or sell customer information?

We will never give out your personal information for any reason. We do not rent, sell, or share our customer information with anyone outside of QuietFence.com.

8. I’m having trouble putting in my credit card information. What could be the problem?

Make sure you have the correct billing address for your credit card. If you are using a company credit card and linked to your business office address you will need to put the address in as your billing address. If you are not shipping to your business address but rather to a different address, check the box “ship to a different address.”

If you have walked away from your computer or taken too long to complete your order you will be timed out and that could change your purchase using your credit card.

9. Can I ship to a different address?

Yes, just check the box and add the address you would like to receive your Quiet Fence™, however, a signature may be required if the ship-to address is different from the billing address.

10. Is ordering on your site secure?

QuietFence.com uses industry-standard encryption when handling your personal information. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the address bar of most browsers during secured transactions, so you can see it for yourself. Credit card information will not be stored on our servers once we process your order. We take every precaution to address threats such as the recent attack on big box retailers. We analyze our vulnerability and protect you, our customer.”

11. What shipping method do you offer?

We usually use UPS as our standard option. Orders CAN NOT be shipped to a PO Box.

12. How long will it take to get my order?

Average shipping is 3 -10 business days. After you place your order you will receive an email from our shipping company with the tracking number.

13. Do you ship to Canada or Hawaii? How do I place an order?

Canada and Hawaii customers: Currently we are experiencing very high costs for shipping, making it difficult to offer our product. Sometimes the cost of shipping is greater than the actual cost of the Quiet Fence™ Noise Screen.

 

Yes, we do ship to Canada and if you live near the US border we partner with a shipping company called Kinek (kinek.com) allowing you to use a US address and receive free shipping. Covid changed a lot of things for many businesses and we are working hard to provide shipping again to Canada. The cost is very expensive and we use UPS.

Yes, we do ship to Hawaii, however, it is an air shipment and can be expensive.

14. What is your return policy?

Terms of Return Policy or Refund:

We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase from QUIETFENCE.COM. If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. A 25% restocking fee will apply for products only. To ensure your credit for the product (s) the item (s) must be returned in good condition, in the original box(s), and include all paperwork along with wooden shipping blocks that were attached to the inside of your noise screen. They protect the hinges from damage. Upon request, a return shipping label will be emailed to you.

1.) Please call or email to receive a Credit Return Authorization Number (CRA)

2.) Failure to receive a CRA may result in the delay of your refund.

3.) Credit for partial returns may be less than the purchase price paid.

4.) Return the products in the original packaging, in as-new condition (no holes drilled into the panels, no marks, cuts, or defacing of panel product) along with any media, documentation, and all other items that were included (wooden shipping blocks for hinge protection) in the original shipment to you.

5.) We provide free return shipping labels. A 25% restocking fee applies

6.) Mark the outside of your return-shipping box with your Credit Return Authorization (CRA) Number along with your first and last name. Upon receipt of the return, we will process your refund. Please allow 4 weeks for the processing of the refund to the credit card you used at the time of purchase.

7.) Damaged or Defective Item

Because Quiet Fence™ Noise Screen is a large product for shipping (45″ x 26″ x 10″ is a 2 pack and 40 pounds) we discourage  “try it- buy it -return it”.   We want you to be satisfied and that is why we created the Buyers Guide to assist you before your purchase. We are a family-owned business.

15. Can I buy a single Quiet Fence™ noise screen?

No.  We know almost every customer needs two or more units to have satisfactory results, but we also know there are exceptions.
